CONNECTING THE PLAYER
TO THE GAME
For my graduation thesis, I came up with a proposition to research the involvement of players in mobile games. This question arose from my interest in interaction and player experiences. Dpdk gave me the opportunity to apply my research on one of their products in development. This product is called Blockwars, which got it's roots from the very successful Angry Birds.

My goal was to increase the games life-cycle based on player to player motivations

CONCLUSION OF MY RESEARCH
I created the model on the right to show how multiplay on mobile devices work. You have two (or more players) who have a common goal. You can't expect them to play at the same time because the context of the player is unpredictable for the designer. However, They can communicate to eachother indirectly. This has the advantage that when a person is not playing the game (BREAK TIME) they can receive all kinds of notifications from their friends which can make them play the game again. Research has also shown that friends are more influentual than strangers.
CONCEPTUAL MODEL
How can you stimulate the communication on mobile devices? In my research this communication consists of three elements:  1. The motivation 2. influencing behavior and 3. The interactionIn my model you can see 4 game dynamics to stimulate the communication in your game, which would increase the games' life-cycle.
FLOWCHART
The flowchart is divided into two sections:
a single player and multiplayer mode.
WIREFRAMES
THE PRODUCT
The product consist of a flow for the game that will increase social interaction with competition, different game modes and newsfeeds in a asynchrone multiplayer environment.

A selection of the many wireframes I made.
